The Windmill Thrift Shops, located at 3081 University Avenue in North Park and 4611 University Avenue in City Heights, are non-profit with all proceeds benefiting Senior Community Centers and Vista Hill.
These clean, well organized resale stores are an integral part of the community, offering gently used merchandize at bargain prices. Donations come from friends of both organizations, the local community, and estate sales.
The staff is highly trained and efficient. Every effort is made to give customers quality service in a friendly atmosphere. Emphasis is always placed on cleanliness and neatness in the stores. Store employees are professional and strive to make customers feel welcome.
Volunteers are needed to help in all aspects of the running of this non-profit business. Sorting, pricing, cleaning, and working with customers are just a few of the tasks which volunteers accomplish.
