The Windmill Thrift Shops are operated under a partnership agreement between Senior Community Centers and Vista Hill Foundation. By donating your used clothing and household goods to the Windmill Thrift Shop, you are supporting two of San Diego’s most highly respected not-for-profit organizations.

WHAT TO DONATE
The Windmill Thrift Shops accept most merchandise including books, jewelry, hone furniture, electronics, small appliances, china and glassware, as well as clothing for men and women. Please Note: we do not accept computers or computer related items, large appliances, large office furniture or large office equipment.

HOW TO DONATE
Donations may be dropped off at either location.

If you are bringing items to donate to the Windmill Thrift Shop located at 3081 University Ave. in North Park, you may do so between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. daily, at the back entrance which is accessible in the alley off 31st Street.

The Windmill Thrift Shop Outlet, located at 315 16th Street in Downtown San Diego, accepts donations between the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily, PDT, or between the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily, PST.

Contributions may be tax-deductible. You or your tax advisors can estimate the value of the donation. Please consult your tax preparer for guidance on setting the tax-deductible amounts.

CAR, BOAT OR RV DONATIONS
The Windmill Thrift Shops have joined forces with Cars 4 Causes, a non-profit organization designed to simplify the process of fund raising for charities and organizations through contributions and sales of automobiles, boats, trucks, RVs and other items of value.
